# Phase 2 — Prepare .mis + .py Agents

Edit agent templates locally before syncing to Cherry bare-metal.

## Agent templates

Your private node checkout includes starter templates:

* **MIS agents** — compile with the MIS kernel (`bin/misc`)
* **Python agents** — standard `.py` modules for PM2 daemons

## Compile MIS agent (example)

```bash
bin/misc agents/moniversive_parser.mis --check --compact-letters
```

Fix any letter-hash or settlement errors before upload. Settlement is **clrty-1 / 1202**.

## Python dependencies

```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
```

## Environment

Copy the example env and set secrets locally (**never commit**):

```bash
cp .env.node.example .env.node
source .env.node
```

Required for upload:

* Valid JWT or deploy token from [Phase 1](/clarity-docs/clarity-developer-docs/agent-upload-after-unlock/upload-phase1-auth.md)
* Cherry SSH access
* Target path `/opt/clrty/swarm-node`

## Checklist before upload

* [ ] MIS agents pass `bin/misc --check --compact-letters`
* [ ] Python agents run locally without errors
* [ ] JWT verified via `/v1/auth/verify`
* [ ] Cherry host reachable via SSH

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://clarity-7.gitbook.io/clarity-docs/clarity-developer-docs/agent-upload-after-unlock/upload-phase2-prep.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
